Twenty Four

Rather than sit here and whine about what's been going on lately, I'll just compare it to a Fox Television show.
This show being 24. It's on Monday's from 9pm-10pm. If you haven't seen it yet, I suggest you tune in..it's actually a mind engaging show.
Basically, each week features a different hour of the day. This week showed the hours of 6pm-7pm, which will lead up to 24 hours. With this, it's bascially saying this all went down in 24 hours.

My friends and I were joking around saying...WOW..this is a pretty long day. Between 2am-3am do they show them smoking pot, or passed out? Of course not.
What with all that has been going on in my life...I realized...my life is the same. If I sat here and listed my daily schedule, it would seem ridiculous...just as ridiculous as the show 24. I'm sure everyone can say the same for themselves as well. We don't give ourselves enough credit people, or at least, I know I don't give myself credit for all that I do. So yeah that was my stoned analogy about me and the show 24.

On a brighter note...Spring Break is in about 2 weeks..and NO I'm not going to some tropical STD infested island like the rest of Hofstra is...I'm chilling. I have 2 options, one being Boulder, CO to visit my buddy Evan from high school..OR...go camping in VA with some friends from school.
Which ever I choose, you can guarantee that I'll be partying every night. I just can't figure out what state I wanna chill out in.

Long day tomorrow..so I need to get to bed. AND I plan on putting pics up soon..so chill.
Take it easy.

The Great Escape

Remember that part about drinking my face off tonight? Yeah..lets just say nothing went as planned. I'm still trying to figure out how to explain the surealness of last night. Lets just put it this way, it left me: 20 bucks down the drain, sober, pissed, befuddled, and did I mention pissed?

With that said, I need to visit home. It's the only thing I can think of. I need to go home, and re-group. Home does that do you. It reminds you of you were, are, and what you want to be. Between being an ra, president of my fraternity, in the acapella group, AND still managing a 3.8, I'm going crazy. Too much going on at once, overloading my system. If I go home tomorrow, I could still go to philly and see Em for a hot minute..which would be cool.

My first step-turning my cell phone off. Caller ID seems like a good invention, but really it's saying to you, "You know you want to pick this call up", which I probably do. If the phone is off, I won't know WHO calls.

My second step-signing off of AIM. This will kill a college student when they can't find out where their friends are. And once they can't find out, they'll call me..but..my phone just happens to be shut off. It immediately goes to voicemail..this, also, will kill a college student because they know there is a reason you shut your phone off. Most will say "shady"..but who gives a fuck?

Its good to step out every now and then. But seeing how it's 4:15am, I'll probably sleep until 1, and not want to drive home anyway. Hopefully this will all pass with some sleep.
Take it easy.

I'm old skool, you don't even know!

Well, good news...I got the job. So if anyone needs group health insurance holla at me. I'm sure you don't, and I'm only 20, so I know I don't..but hey..it's a job..it pays well...AND I'm a broke ass college student. What more could you ask for?

A celebration is in order...this celebration being happy hour. Regardless if I got the job or not, I still planned on drinking anyway..it's just always good to have something celebrate. Happy hour, to me, means more than just drinking. It's being with friends, catching up with old ones, getting wasted and hearing songs I haven't heard since middle school, and just chilling out at the end of a week.

Why is music cool? Because it evokes memories from the past. There are certain songs we will hear, and we'll smile because we remember the EXACT time/place/circumstance at which the song came out. Speaking of music I have complied a list of groups/artists/bands that I feel have been forgotten/overlooked. If you have anymore to add, feel free.

Forgotten/Overlooked Music
1. The Goo Goo Dolls
2. Blues Traveler
3. Arrested Development
4. Steely Dan
5. Stone Temple Pilots
6. Fleetwood Mac
7. The roots
8. Jamiroquai
9.Cake
10. Earth, Wind, and Fire
11. The Eagles
That's all. Random..I know.
Take it easy.

Fat people are harder to kidnap...

This has nothing to do with my post, but if you think about it...it's true.

So after 2 hours of sleep due to 2 papers, I awoke @ 8 to finish my Howard Stern paper which ended up being 10 pages long. After, I study a bit, and off to class I went. It couldn't have worked out better! I found a spot right near my building, smoked a cig, AND got to class on time. Mom would be proud.
Needless to say, I'm burnt. I normally get falling down drunk on Thursdays, but due to my job interview @ 9:30 in the AM, it'd be in my best interest NOT to reak of liquor. So I'm just gonna take it easy and blaze a bit.
However, tomorrow is Friday, and you can find me @ Happy Hour(s).
My hair is out of control..it has developed it's own personality, and I'm starting to think people like my hair more than they like me. If I knew girls liked curly hair, I would have grown it out a LONNNGGG time ago.
And I would like to state for the record...being a Radio/Audio major is NOT easy. Trust me. You try writing 10 pages about Howard Stern and applying it to a SERIOUS (no pun intended) issue, and let me know how it goes.
I miss home. It's been a loooonnng time since I've been there, and even though I'm not too far..ya gotta love NJ. And Em called..I may just go home next weekend, then go to philly to see her.
Take it easy.

PS. Dear NY, no more snow pleaseeeee?
